Wants

Good Morning Minds,

The one who wants nothing is the most at peace.

You see someone, and suddenly you want what they have.

You believe the thing will make you happy—or maybe it’s the status that comes with it.

But here’s the truth:You can’t become happy.

You can only be happy.

The endless chase—the wanting, striving, comparing—it pulls you away from the stillness within.

What everyone’s really chasing isn’t the object.

It’s the feeling they think it will bring.

But that feeling?

It’s not a future reward. It’s a present choice.

So next time you catch yourself wanting,

pause and ask:

Is it the thing I want—or the peace I think it’ll give me?

See you tomorrow

James
